Campus Recreation Program
The Campus Recreation program at Utah State University offers a variety of activities and services for students, faculty, and staff.
Learn-to-Swim Program
The Learn-to-Swim program provides swim lessons for all ages and abilities. The program is designed to increase swimming capacity and provide an inviting learning environment.
Parent-Child (Ages 6 months to 3 years)
This program is designed to familiarize young children with the water and prepare them to learn to swim. It is not designed to teach children to become good swimmers or to survive in the water on their own.
Preschool Levels 1-3 (Ages 3 to 5)
This program orients preschool-age children to the aquatic environment, helps them gain basic aquatic skills, and develops independence and comfort in the water.
Levels 1-6 (Ages 6+)
The program offers six levels of swim lessons, each with a specific focus:
- Level 1: Introduction to Water Skills
- Level 2: Fundamentals of Aquatic Skills
- Level 3: Stroke Development
- Level 4: Stroke Improvement
- Level 5: Stroke Refinement
- Level 6: Swimming and Skill Proficiency
Youth Swim Conditioning Program
This program is designed for young swimmers who have successfully completed Level 6 in swim lessons. The program offers structured group workouts to build stamina and enhance technique in all four strokes.
Adult Swim Conditioning Program
This program is designed for swimmers of all levels who are looking to build endurance and refine their strokes. Group-based workouts help build stamina and improve stroke efficiency.
Private Lessons
Private lessons are designed for child and adult learners and provide individualized attention to improve or master swimming skills.
Prices
The prices for swim lessons are as follows:

- Students | $40 | $80 | $160
- Faculty/Staff & Dependants | $45 | $85 | $165
- Community | $50 | $90 | $170 + $80/extra child (max 2)
Registration
Registration for swim lessons can be done online or in-person. Cancellations must be made more than seven days prior to the course start date to be eligible for a refund.
