Program Overview

Introduction to the University Program

The university program in question is a Double-Degree program in Elektrotechnik and Informationstechnik (ETIT) offered by the Ruhr-Universität Bochum (RUB) in collaboration with the Universidad Nacional de Colombia (UNAL) in Bogotá, Colombia.

Program Description

This program allows students to earn two bachelor's degrees in one study program, with the first part of the studies taking place at UNAL in Bogotá and the last year at RUB in Germany. The program includes a range of courses and research opportunities, with a focus on electrical engineering and information technology.

Program Structure

The program consists of eight semesters of study at UNAL, followed by two semesters at RUB. Students will complete their bachelor's thesis in Germany, and upon completion, will be awarded both a Colombian and a German bachelor's degree.

Courses and Research Opportunities

The program includes a range of courses in electrical engineering and information technology, as well as research opportunities in areas such as:

  • Automatisierungstechnik (Automation Technology)
  • Elektromobilitätssysteme (Electromobility Systems)
  • Elektronik (Electronics)
  • Energiesystemtechnik (Energy System Technology)
  • Hochfrequente Sensoren und Systeme (High-Frequency Sensors and Systems)
  • Kommunikationstechnik (Communication Technology)
  • Medizintechnik (Medical Technology)
  • Plasmatechnik (Plasma Technology)

Admission Criteria

To be eligible for the program, students must have completed 50% of their academic program at UNAL, with a weighted arithmetic mean (PAPA) of more than 3.9. They must also have a certified language proficiency in German at the A2 level.

Tuition Fees
