The Bachelor of Arts in Religionswissenschaft (Religious Studies) is a unique program that offers students the opportunity to study religious traditions and phenomena from a non-theological perspective. Practical Experience
A voluntary internship is available, typically taken in the 3rd semester, lasting 6 weeks. A stay abroad is also recommended, usually taken in the 4th or 5th semester, lasting 1 semester. Partner universities include those in Groningen, Bern, Ghent, Israel, and Iran.
Admission Requirements
The program is admission-free, with the language of instruction being German. Students are expected to have a strong interest in historical contexts, sociological questions, and a willingness to engage with religion in a value-neutral manner. They should also enjoy working with other cultures, learning old and new languages, and discussing theoretical concepts and models.
