PROMOS Internship Abroad: Responsibilities for Scholars

Receiving a PROMOS scholarship is subject to certain conditions. The following overview outlines the obligations and responsibilities of a PROMOS scholarship holder, as well as the relevant forms.

Before Your PROMOS Internship Abroad

  • PROMOS Scholarship Agreement: As part of the scholarship offer, the PROMOS scholarship certificate and the PROMOS scholarship agreement are provided. The completed and signed scholarship agreement must be submitted to the International Office. By signing the agreement, the scholar accepts the PROMOS scholarship and agrees to provide various supporting documents after completing the funded stay.
  • Payment of the Scholarship: The one-time PROMOS travel allowance is usually transferred approximately one month before the start of the PROMOS-funded stay abroad. The monthly scholarship installments for the stay are paid on a monthly basis.
  • Obligation to Notify: The scholar is obliged to notify the International Office immediately of any changes in circumstances that are relevant to the award and amount of the scholarship.

During Your PROMOS Internship Abroad

  • Obligation to Notify: The scholar must inform the International Office immediately if there are any changes to the planned duration of the stay, as this may affect the amount of the PROMOS scholarship.
  • RUB Outbound Story: The scholar is expected to collect pictures for a social media post for the "RUB Outbound Stories" during their stay abroad.

After Your PROMOS Internship Abroad

The following documents must be submitted to the International Office within one month after the end of the funding period:

  • Confirmation of Stay: The Confirmation of Stay may not be issued earlier than five days before the end of the funding period.
  • RUB Outbound Story: The scholar must submit at least three photos and a short statement for their personal "RUB Outbound Story".
  • Final Report: Instructions on how to write the report are provided in a separate document.
  • PROMOS Online Survey: The scholar is expected to complete the questionnaire to help improve the PROMOS program.
