Program Overview


CrossING: Gr³ne Karriere - Nachhaltigkeit f³r Ingenieur*innen

CrossING offers a platform to support students of engineering sciences on their way into the professional world and to connect them with potential employers. The event takes place annually and features former students from different companies sharing their experiences of entering the job market, their experiences with AI in the application process, and how they balance family and work life.


Program Details

  • The next event will take place on 24. and 25. September 2025 in the ID building.
  • Participants can gather business etiquette tips, have professional photos taken for job applications, and have their application documents checked.
  • The WORLDFACTORY Transfer- and Start-up Center will provide information on possibilities for founding a company.
  • The Industrie- und Handelskammer (IHK) will discuss the topic of "company succession."
  • Young scientists will talk about the advantages and disadvantages of a doctorate.

Moodle Course "CrossING 2025"

The Moodle course "CrossING 2025 (SoSe25)" will provide participants with information on the schedule and content of the event, videos, presentation materials from the speakers, and links to current job and internship offers from companies shortly before the event.


Award

CrossING received the Lore-Agnes-Preis in 2015, which is awarded every two years to recognize successful equal opportunities strategies. As part of CrossING, former fellow students report on their entry into the professional world and how they have combined family and work.
