Bachelor of Agriculture with Honours (S4X)
The Bachelor of Agriculture with Honours is a one-year full-time or up to three-year part-time course designed for high-achieving students who are ready to deepen their expertise and explore their passion through research. This honours course will prepare students for roles in agricultural research organisations, agribusiness, and higher degree research.
Overview
The course provides an entry point into honours for students who have completed science-based degrees other than the Bachelor of Agricultural Science. Students will learn at the cutting edge of agriculture, guided by world-leading research and strong industry connections.

Learning Outcomes
- Select and apply practical and theoretical techniques to conduct an independent and ethical research project
- Design, implement and critically evaluate a scientific investigation to address a research question relevant to agriculture
- Compile and communicate research findings, ideas and arguments to informed professional audiences, both orally and in a written thesis

Entry Requirements
- Entrants to the degree of Bachelor of Agriculture with Honours will have qualified for admission to the BAgr or an appropriate Bachelor degree in Science or equivalent at an approved tertiary institution
- Candidates would normally be expected to obtain at least a credit average in their final year undergraduate units
- Candidature will be subject to appropriate supervision being available for the thesis topic approved by the School and subject to satisfying the prerequisites required for the chosen field of study
