Bachelor of Global Logistics and Maritime Management
The Bachelor of Global Logistics and Maritime Management is a three-year degree designed to prepare students for management careers in the dynamic and internationally-focused maritime and logistics industries.
Overview
This specialist business degree will give students high-level expertise and knowledge in global logistics and maritime management. Students will learn to maintain, enhance, and drive industry into the future. The course draws on the expertise of the Australian Maritime College, which is a specialist research and teaching institute.

Graduates of this course will be prepared to launch their careers in dynamic private, public, or non-profit sectors. The vast majority of global trade journeys across the oceans, creating demand for specialist skills in the maritime business sector. With a degree in Global Logistics and Maritime Management, students will acquire an in-demand skillset applicable across diverse industries, including shipping ports, logistics, export and import, freight, manufacturing, and industry regulation and government.
Course Structure
The Bachelor of Global Logistics and Maritime Management requires the completion of 300 credit points, comprising:
- 100 credit points of Core units
- 100 credit points of Elective units
- 100 credit points of Major units

- Logistics and Supply Chain Management
- Maritime Business Management (suspended)

Elective Units
Students can choose from a range of elective units, including:
- Any units marked as "Student Electives" which they meet the pre-requisites for, at any level, from across the university
Entry Requirements
For Domestic students:
- Australian year 12 students can apply for this course via the Schools Recommendation Program (SRP)
- Applicants are ranked by ATAR and offers are made based on the number of places available
- Applicants who have recently completed senior secondary studies but have not received an ATAR may still be eligible for admission
- Applicants with higher education study, VET/TAFE study, or work and life experience may also be eligible for admission
For International students:
- Admission to undergraduate courses at the University of Tasmania requires the completion of qualifications equivalent to a year 12 education in Australia
- English Language Requirements: IELTS (Academic) of 6.0, with no individual band less than 5.5, or a PTE Academic score of 50, with no score lower than 42 or equivalent

- Domestic students: Commonwealth supported places (CSP) are available for this course
- International students: 2026 Total Tuition Fee (international students): $114,278 AUD
