Upon completion of this unit, students will be able to:

• Select and apply appropriate tools to the solution of problems arising in a specialist area of mathematics/statistics.
• Clearly communicate theoretical results from a specialist topic in mathematics or statistics to an audience of peers, using appropriate notation and language.
