Program Overview
Introduction to DREAM
DREAM is designed to boost the capability of the aged care workforce to deliver quality dementia care. By enrolling in DREAM, participants will have access to a tailored online portal with educational modules, a vibrant network, and direct access to dementia support coaches.
Program Structure
The program consists of three main components:
- Education: Five dementia education modules featuring short educational videos, infographics, and additional resources.
- Network: A dynamic online network for the dementia care workforce, moderated by dementia respite experts.
- Coaching: Direct access to Dementia Support Coaches located Australia-wide who bring a peer-driven collaborative approach to dementia care.
Eligibility and Access
The program is funded by the Australian Government and is completely free. Participation in the program and the associated use of the sites is restricted to persons who are 18 years of age or older, or those who demonstrate parental or guardian consent.
Certification and Credit
Subject to satisfactory performance in the course, participants may be awarded a certificate acknowledging completion of the course. The certificate does not indicate completion of an accredited award course and is not intended to attract any academic credit towards any course offered by the University of Tasmania or other institutions.
Program Details
The DREAM suite (Education, Community of Practice, Coaching) is offered to people worldwide who wish to benefit from the health-focused research and education programs offered by the College of Health & Medicine at the University of Tasmania. The program may include course material, chatrooms, newsgroups, bulletin boards, online forums, websites, information, and/or services.
User Contributions and Licenses
Participants may be provided with the ability to upload, submit, distribute, or otherwise make available forum and discussion postings and certain other information. By doing so, participants represent and warrant that the user contribution does not infringe, misappropriate, or violate the rights of any third party, and that they possess all necessary rights, licenses, permissions, clearances, and consents to reproduce, communicate, distribute, and publish the user contribution.

To the extent permitted by law, the University of Tasmania provides no warranty with regard to the suitability of the course content for any particular purpose.
