Online Pharmacy Technician Program
The Online Pharmacy Technician program is designed to prepare students for the national certification exam and a career as a Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT).

After Course Completion: Taking the National Exam
- Visit ptcb.org and create a PTCB account.
- Apply for certification and schedule the Pharmacy Technician Certification Exam (PTCE) online or at a local testing center.
How to Become a CPhT
- Meet state and national requirements, including applying through the state board of pharmacy and completing a training program.
- Pass the PTCB national exam to become a Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT).
About the PTCB Examination
- Format: 90 multiple-choice questions (80 scored, 10 unscored).
- Duration: ~2 hours total (includes tutorial and survey).
- Delivery: Online proctored or at 1,400+ Pearson VUE testing centers.
