Program Overview


Introduction to Education and Human Development- Education and Learning Sciences, BA

The Education and Learning Sciences track in the Education and Human Development BA provides opportunities for students to explore education and learning in contexts outside of teaching in schools. This program is designed to provide students with knowledge in current theories of learning, mind, brain, learning connections, theories of motivation, and designing strong learning environments.

This is an on-campus program with a variety of delivery options for many courses, including hybrid, evening, weekend, and online courses.

General Requirements

To earn a degree, students must satisfy all requirements in each of the three areas below, in addition to their individual major requirements:

Program Requirements

  1. Students must complete a total of 120 semester hours for the EDHD Education and Learning Sciences degree.
  2. A minimum GPA of 2.0, grade of C or better, is required for all courses applying to EDHD Education and Learning Sciences requirements unless otherwise specified.
  3. Transfer courses must be approved by faculty and/or advisor to apply to the major.
