Risk Management and Resilience Certificate

Introduction

The Risk Management and Resilience Certificate introduces students to the concepts of risks, hazards, exposure, and resilience. Students will learn how to successfully manage and lead a company through periods of volatility, complexity, uncertainty, and ambiguity typical of many sustainability and environmental challenges.


Certificate Requirements

To earn the certificate, students must pass the required courses with a grade of C or higher.


  • Required Course:
    • RISK 6309: Strategic Risk Management (3 hours)
  • Complete 2 of the following:
    • MGMT 6320: Leading Organizational Change
    • RISK 6129: Practical Enterprise Risk Management
    • RISK 6509: Global Risk Management
    • RISK 6028: Global Enterprise Sustainability and Resilience
    • URPL 6645: Disaster/Climate Change Planning Total Hours: 9
