Rehabilitation Science PhD Program
The Rehabilitation Science PhD Program is located at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus, a healthcare campus dedicated to fostering collaboration among students, researchers, and clinicians. The campus consists of three zones that promote collaboration and innovation: an education zone with remarkable facilities for training future physicians and other health professionals, a research zone with ground-breaking, internationally renowned research, and a clinical care zone with the University of Colorado Hospital and The Children's Hospital.

Admissions Requirements
Students seeking admission into the program should have an undergraduate degree or its equivalent. Applicants must have valid work authorization documentation to work in the United States. Foreign students must take the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL). A baccalaureate degree in either a biological science, chemistry, physics, or engineering is recommended. Applicants are strongly encouraged to take an undergraduate-level biochemistry course.
- Eligible students receive coverage of stipend, tuition, and fees (including health insurance).
- To be eligible for such coverage, a student needs to be authorized to work in the United States.
- International students may apply; however, they will need to obtain the required sponsored student visa and will likely have to support their training costs (stipend and tuition).
Application Components
Applicants must submit the following:
- Online CU Denver Graduate School application
- One official transcript of all academic work completed to date
- A non-refundable application fee, $50 for domestic applicants, $75 for international applicants
- Three letters of recommendation
- TOEFL scores and financial support verification for international students
- A list of one-to-three faculty members with whom the student is interested in working
Important Dates
- Application Opens: September 1
- Application Closes: December 1
- Applicant Interviews: February 5 and 6
- Applicants notified of admission decisions: February - April
- Deadline for final decision: April 15
