Program Overview
Program Overview
The BSc Data Science and Analytics program is designed to ensure that graduates are work-ready. A core module in year 3 is a work placement, which takes place from Spring until Autumn.
Program Structure
Work Placement
The work placement is a crucial component of the program, providing students with the opportunity to work with a company and gain additional skills that cannot be taught through lectures or in the laboratory. Students will work as part of a team to solve real problems.
Monitoring and Support
The work placement is jointly monitored by a UCC staff member and an employee of the company. Career Services will assist students in finding a suitable placement company, help with interviews, and maintain contact during the placement.
Program Goals
The program aims to equip graduates with the necessary skills to be work-ready, with a strong focus on practical experience and real-world problem-solving. By working in a company setting, students will gain valuable experience and skills that will prepare them for their future careers.
