Research Awards and Bursaries
The school offers several research awards and bursaries, including:
- Summer Undergraduate Research Experience (SURE) awards
- Research awards for postgraduate students
Summer Undergraduate Research Experience (SURE) Awards
The SURE awards are available to undergraduate students in the School of Nursing and Midwifery, and provide an opportunity for students to engage in research projects during the summer months. The awards are valued at up to 2,800 and are available for a maximum of eight weeks.
Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for a SURE award, applicants must:
- Be an undergraduate student in the School of Nursing and Midwifery
- Not be in the final year of their degree course
- Have a supervisor who is a member of the School of Nursing and Midwifery
- Conduct the research project in a School from the College of Medicine and Health
Application Process
Applications for SURE awards must be submitted by the deadline, which is typically in May. Applicants must submit a completed application form, which includes a research proposal and a letter of support from their supervisor.
