Program Overview
Food Industry Training Unit
The Food Industry Training Unit offers a range of courses and training programs for professionals in the food industry. One of the courses offered is the Food Process Engineering Principles workshop.
About the Course
The Food Process Engineering Principles workshop is a 2-day online course that covers the engineering principles of food processing. The course is designed for technical, quality, and marketing managers, production staff, quality assurance personnel, product developers, and R&D personnel.
Course Objectives
The course aims to provide participants with a solid grasp of food process engineering principles, including:
- Engineering units and mass balances
- The physics of process fluids
- Rheological analysis of food
- Principles of heat transfer
- Thermal process analysis
- Evaporation, membrane, and drying technology
- Powder flow and dissolution science
- Food engineering tools of the future

Registration
The cost of the course is 450 per participant, and partial funding may be available for eligible participants.
