The Centre for Co-operative Studies offers a Certificate in Co-operative Governance and Professional Development in partnership with the Food Industry Training Unit, UCC, and Tirlįn.

The programme aims to provide essential knowledge and skills development to support and progress Tirlįn members to play a meaningful role within their co-operative's representative structures.


Program Details

  • The programme is a part of Tirlįn's Governance Academy, established following the restructuring of the business to a fully farmer-owned co-operative.
  • The first cohort has completed the co-operative governance training programme.
  • The programme will commence again in September 2025.

The programme seeks to support member leadership within the co-op by providing necessary training and development opportunities.
