Program Overview
Program Overview
The Mammography program, offered as part of the PG Dip Medical Imaging and Radiation Sciences at University College Cork, is designed to provide already qualified radiographers with comprehensive knowledge and advanced skills in the field of medical imaging, specifically mammography. This program combines theoretical foundations with practical training, equipping students with a deep understanding of mammographic technology, image acquisition, and interpretation.
Program Structure
Through a blend of rigorous coursework, hands-on laboratory experiences, and clinical rotations, students develop expertise in mammographic imaging protocols, patient care, safety, and advanced diagnostic techniques. The program is structured to enable graduates to emerge as competent and skilled professionals capable of applying their knowledge to enhance patient outcomes and contribute to advancements in the field of medical imaging.
