Industrial Production and Technological Innovation Engineering
Program Overview
Introduction to the Master's Program in Industrial Production Engineering and Technological Innovation
The Master's program in Industrial Production Engineering and Technological Innovation is a result of a partnership between the Politecnico di Torino and several prestigious European universities. This program combines the teaching of technological subjects, an area of excellence for the Politecnico di Torino, with the teaching of economic and organizational subjects, areas of excellence for the partner universities.
Historical Background
The program is the natural evolution of the "European University Diploma in Industrial Production," established in 1986 in collaboration with the University of Brighton and, from 1995, with the École de Management Léonard de Vinci (EMLV) in Paris. The program has been supported by a group of companies that formed the "Association for the Development of the School of Industrial Production of the Politecnico di Torino" (ASSEPI) to provide curricular internships and support for the course.
Partner Universities
The current program is carried out in collaboration with three foreign partner universities, determining three corresponding "tracks":
- Since 2003 with the Universitat Internacional de Catalunya (UIC) in Barcelona, Spain;
- Since 2004 with the Technological University of the Shannon Athlone Campus (TUS, formerly Athlone Institute of Technology, AIT) in Athlone, Ireland;
- Since 2011 with the Institut de Préparation ŕ l'Administration et ŕ la Gestion (IPAG) Business School in Nice, France.
Committee of Support
From 2009, the "Comitato di Sostegno al Corso in Produzione Industriale" (CSPI) succeeded ASSEPI, aiming to maintain the connection between the study program and the socio-economic system. In 2022, a new consultation committee was established, composed of individuals with key roles in multiple contexts of the socio-economic system, with the objective of guiding the development of the program's scientific and educational activities.
