Program Overview
Master of Environmental Science
The Master of Environmental Science is a postgraduate degree that prepares students for careers in a wide range of resource management agencies and industries. The program equips students with the knowledge and skills necessary to take a leadership role and responsibility in those organizations.
Aim
The program aims to reflect critically on theory and professional practice related to environmental science and management, understand and incorporate new techniques into the solution of environmental science, management, and sustainability issues, and investigate, analyze, and synthesize complex information to solve complex environmental and sustainability issues facing the public, private, government, and non-government sectors.
Content and Structure
The Master of Environmental Science requires the completion of 72 units of courses, including a Masters Research Project. The program is designed to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of environmental science and management, as well as the skills and knowledge necessary to work in a variety of roles.

Entry Requirements
Applicants are required to have a completed Bachelor degree, Graduate Certificate, or a Graduate Diploma in a relevant discipline from a recognized higher education institution. Relevant disciplines for entry typically include science, engineering, environmental studies, and environmental management.
English Language Requirements
International students who speak English as a second or additional language must also meet the University's English language entry requirements. The minimum language requirements for this program are:

- IELTS reading: 6.0
- IELTS writing: 6.0
Fees
The tuition fees for this program are AUD $40,900 per annum (per 1.0 EFTSL) for students enrolled in 2025.
