Course Information
The course introduces the principal elements of cyber security from an organisational and technical perspective.
Course Content
Students will gain skills and knowledge in:
- core security principles including confidentiality, integrity and availability (CIA)
- roles and responsibilities of a cyber security professional
- principles of symmetric and asymmetric cryptography
- attack models, threat lifecycles, social engineering, malware, denial of service, insider attacks
- Australian Computer Society (ACS) code of conduct
