Program Overview
Bachelor of Criminology and Criminal Justice
The Bachelor of Criminology and Criminal Justice examines the theoretical and practical aspects of criminal investigation, crime and security control, as well as some aspects of criminology that are relevant to policing, investigations, sentencing, victimology, and the rehabilitation of offenders. Graduates will be qualified for careers in security and the criminal justice sectors.
Aim
The aim of this program is to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of the criminal justice system, including the theoretical and practical aspects of criminal investigation, crime and security control, and criminology.
Content & Structure

Admission criteria
The admission criteria have been grouped to assist you to easily find the information most relevant to your circumstances. However, you may fit into more than one and the university will consider applicants against each of the relevant criteria.
- Higher education study: Successfully completed equivalent to a minimum of half a year of full-time study of a higher education program at a recognised higher education provider
- Vocational Education and Training (VET): Complete an award from a registered training organisation at Certificate IV or above
- Work and life experience (for domestic students only): Passed a UniSA Online literacy and numeracy test and have relevant work experience, or completed a 12-month UniSA Foundation Studies program or equivalent, or qualify for Special Entry
- Recent secondary education: Completed a secondary education qualification equivalent to SACE, such as an interstate year 12 or international qualification

Fees
The tuition fee for this program is AUD$ 27,100 per annum (per 1.0 EFTSL) for students enrolled in 2025.
