Bachelor of Accounting (Pathway to Master of Management (Business Analytics))

Overview

The Bachelor of Accounting (Pathway to Master of Management (Business Analytics)) is a three-year undergraduate program designed to provide students with the education and skills necessary to become accountants in public practice, commerce, and industry, as well as the public sector. The program also serves as a sound qualification for careers in business and management.


Aim

The primary aim of this program is to equip students with the knowledge and skills required to succeed in the field of accounting and business analytics. This includes providing a comprehensive understanding of accounting principles, business practices, and analytical techniques.


Content and Structure

The program requires the completion of 108 units, comprising the UniSA Business core courses, required accounting courses, appropriate electives, and four master's pathway courses. Students will have the opportunity to study CPA subjects as electives.

  1. Students who have received 36 units block credit are not eligible for this program.

Entry Requirements

The admission criteria have been grouped to assist applicants in finding the most relevant information. Applicants must meet one of the following criteria with a competitive result and demonstrate that they fulfill any prerequisite requirements and essential requirements for admission:


  • Recent secondary education: Meet any prerequisite requirements with a minimum grade of C- or equivalent, and qualify for the South Australian Certificate of Education (SACE) with a competitive Selection Rank (ATAR).
  • Higher education study: Complete or partly complete a recognized higher education program at a recognized higher education institution.
  • Vocational Education and Training (VET): Complete an award from a registered training organization at Certificate IV or above.
  • Work and life experience: Qualify for Special Entry, complete a 12-month UniSA Foundation Studies program or equivalent, or hold completed secondary qualifications equivalent to SACE obtained more than 2 years in the past.

Essential Requirements for Admission

Achieve a GPA of 4.0 or above on completion of the second year of study to be eligible.

Commonwealth supported students are charged a portion of the cost of their higher education through a student contribution.

The duration of the program is approximately three years, based on a full-time study load.
