Program Overview
Klinisch-Praktisches Jahr
The Klinisch-Praktisches Jahr (KPJ) is a program designed for students to deepen the knowledge, skills, and medical attitudes acquired during the previous five years of study. Under guidance, students will acquire the ability for postgraduate education and training. The overarching goals are to acquire:
- Skills, knowledge, and attitudes according to the Austrian competence catalog and European guidelines
- Competence in clinically problem-oriented scientific thinking and evidence-based medical action
Program Objectives
The program aims to provide students with the opportunity to apply their theoretical knowledge in a practical setting, developing their clinical skills and problem-solving abilities.
Program Structure
The KPJ is a clinical-practical year that takes place after the completion of five years of study. It is designed to provide students with hands-on experience in a clinical setting, under the supervision of experienced medical professionals.
