Program Description

The interdisciplinarily oriented University Program in Intensivpflege combines practical relevance with scientific standards. The program conveys relevant international and evidence-based knowledge in the field of intensive care to meet the future increasing demands in a dynamic practice field. High priority is given to research-oriented and research-led teaching and learning, whereby the program participants are to be sensitized for scientific and open thinking and working. Knowledge transfer takes place with innovative, university-didactic methods. The circulation of knowledge between theory and practice is promoted and supported by subject-specific practical training and targeted transfer tasks.

Program Goals

The graduates of the University Program in Intensivpflege reflect and examine critically based on scientific findings their own professional actions and adapt them accordingly ("reflective practitioner"). This results in diverse possibilities and perspectives for further professional career and development.

The application deadline for the program start in October 2026 runs from now until April 2026.
