Program Details

The university program in question is the Health Care Management (HCM) - MBA program.


Admission Criteria

To be admitted to the Health Care Management (HCM) - MBA program, applicants must meet the following requirements:


  • Have completed a regular university degree program of at least 180 ECTS credits (or an equivalent degree from a recognized post-secondary educational institution) in one of the following disciplines:
    • Health Sciences
    • Human Medicine
    • Dentistry
    • Veterinary Medicine
    • Business Administration
    • Law
    • Nursing Science
    • Computer Science/Technology
    • Social Work
    • Psychology or Psychotherapy
    • Digital Healthcare
  • Have at least two years of relevant work experience in a field related to healthcare or business, with a minimum of 50% employment in one or more of the following areas:
    • Medicine
    • Business

Language Requirements

Applicants must demonstrate proficiency in German at the C1 level of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR), either through:


  • Internationally recognized language certificates or diplomas
  • Completion of a degree program in German
  • A language proficiency test administered by the academic program director The same applies to English language proficiency.

Computer Skills

Applicants must have basic computer skills that enable them to use a learning management system and literature databases.


Application Process

The application for admission to the program must include:


  • A letter of motivation
  • A curriculum vitae The academic program director reviews the applications and may conduct personal interviews to assess the applicants' suitability for the program.

Enrollment

Admission to the program is only possible before the start of the program. The academic program director determines the maximum number of participants based on pedagogical and organizational considerations, as well as budget constraints.


Special Cases

Exceptions to the admission deadline can only be approved by the curriculum director upon recommendation by the academic program director, provided that equivalent course content can be demonstrated.


Student Status

Participants in the program must apply for admission as extraordinary students. The rectorate decides on the admission of program participants based on the recommendation of the academic program director, taking into account the available study places and the qualifications of the applicants.
