The "Grundlagen der E-Didaktik" seminar is part of the "Medizinische Lehre Wien" (MLW) certificate program. This program focuses on the fundamentals of e-didactics, aiming to equip participants with the skills to effectively integrate digital media into their teaching practices.

Themes and Content

The seminar explores the use of digital media in higher education, emphasizing the importance of didactic concepts in creating successful learning experiences. Topics covered include:

• The use of teaching videos and interactive learning objects
• Blended Learning concepts
• Open Educational Resources
• Applications of wikis, collaboration tools, and feedback mechanisms in teaching

Learning Objectives

Upon completion, participants will be able to assess and utilize the potential of various digital media in their teaching.

Methods

The seminar combines input from lecturers with discussions among participants, allowing for reflection on the covered themes.

The program is designed for:

• All teachers at the Medical University of Vienna
• Teachers in teaching hospitals

Seminar Leadership

The seminar is led by:

• Mag.a Maria Haas, an expert in learning and teaching technologies
• Philipp Pavelka, Bakk.techn., from the Teaching Center, MedUni Wien

Group Size and Duration

The seminar is limited to a minimum of 8 and a maximum of 20 participants, lasting 4 hours and equivalent to 0.2 ECTS.

Participation Fee

Participation is free for:

• Employees of the MedUni Wien
• External teachers with a teaching assignment at the MedUni Wien
• Teachers from the MedUni Wien's teaching hospitals
• Accredited training practices in general medicine of the MedUni Wien
