Program Overview
The "Moodle f僡 Fortgeschrittene" seminar is part of the "Medizinische Lehre Wien" (MLW) certificate program. This seminar aims to build upon the "Moodle f僡 EinsteigerInnen" course, focusing on advanced and specialized elements of the Moodle learning platform.
Themes and Content
The seminar will be conducted in two parts, following the "Inverted Classroom" model. Participants will first complete a test, which will qualify them to attend the second part of the course, a three-hour in-person session. During this session, instructors will provide individualized guidance and address participants' questions and needs.
Possible topics covered in the seminar include:
- Conditional availability of elements ("Voraussetzungen")
- Professional use of groups, groupings, and the new group tool
- Peer review with Moodle ("Workshop Modul")
- Assessments with Moodle (online and offline tests, evaluations)
- Securing and restoring courses and course elements
- Special features and modules in MedUni Wien Moodle
Prerequisites
Participants are required to have prior knowledge of Moodle.
Learning Objectives
Upon completion of the seminar, participants will:
- Understand blended learning and its applications
- Be familiar with the operation of the Moodle learning platform
- Know the various elements of a Moodle course
- Have the basic ability to design a blended learning course using Moodle
- Understand how to interact with the learning platform from the students' perspective
Target Audience
The primary target audience is instructors at the Medical University of Vienna who have already completed the "Moodle f僡 EinsteigerInnen" course. The seminar is also open to advanced users who are familiar with Moodle and wish to learn more about its deeper functionalities.

All leaders are from the IT-System & Communications department at MedUni Wien.
Group Size
The minimum number of participants is 6, and the maximum is 20.
Duration and Credits
The seminar lasts 3 hours and is worth 0.2 ECTS credits.

Participation is free for:
- Employees of MedUni Wien
- External instructors with a teaching assignment at MedUni Wien
- Instructors from MedUni Wien's teaching hospitals
- Accredited training practices in general medicine at MedUni Wien
