TTU String Project
The TTU String Project is a program that offers instruction in string instruments to students of all ages. The program includes:
Youth
- 1st-year students: instruction on like-instruments, private lessons, and ensemble instruction
- 2nd-year Orchestra students: instruction on like-instruments, ensemble instruction, and private lessons
Adult
- Beginner Adult students: instruction on like-instruments and private lessons
- Continuing Adult Orchestra students: instruction on like-instruments, ensemble instruction, and private lessons
TTU Class Meetings
Classes meet on Tuesdays and Thursdays at the School of Music on the Texas Tech University campus.
Class Times
- 4:30-5:10 p.m.: 1st year Youth Violin, 1st year Youth Viola, 1st year Youth Cello, 1st year Youth Harp
- 5:15-5:55 p.m.: 2nd year Youth Orchestra, 1st year Youth Violin, 1st year Youth Viola, 1st year Youth Cello, 1st year Youth Double Bass
- 5:15-6:40 p.m. (Tuesdays only): Level 3 Continuing Youth Vernacular Music Ensemble
- 6:00-7:20 p.m. (Tuesdays only): Continuing Adult Orchestra, Beginner Adult Violin, Viola, Cello, Double Bass, Harp
Student Registration Fees
The registration fee for the TTU String Project is $170.00 per semester, or $120.00 for free/reduced lunch eligible youth students.
