The Doctorate of Business Administration from the Spears School of Business is an intensive program tailored to working professionals. It is designed to develop innovative, evidence-based leaders by applying research methods to create practical business solutions. Curriculum & Format

  • The program is offered in a hybrid format with recorded lectures, virtual class meetings, and 2-day in-person monthly residencies (9 per year) on the Stillwater campus.
  • This is not an online degree program.
  • 60-credit hours may be completed in just over 3 years (total of 10 semesters) while attending fall, spring, and summer terms.
  • Nine hours of concentration electives are offered in a student's area of interest.
  • Courses are taught by senior researchers and practitioner faculty from the Spears School of Business.
  • Doctoral dissertations are accomplished in the third year via independent study under the close supervision of a faculty research advisor.

  • Distinguished academic record with undergraduate and master's degrees from an accredited university

Cost & Assistance

The cost, if completed in 10 semesters, is $129,000 (subject to increase). Required books, materials, and selected software are included in the cost of the program. Students are responsible for travel, lodging, and meals except for some lunches, breaks, and occasional receptions during residencies.
