Introduction
The Data Analytics degree focuses on developing important data engineering skills as well as gaining expertise in sophisticated data analytics approaches. Data engineering skills are fundamental for successful use of data analytics such as visualization tools, predictive and prescriptive analytic tools, machine learning and applied artificial intelligence, all of which are valuable in today's data-centric business world.

- ConocoPhillips funds a unique Data Scholars Program for top students majoring in Data Analytics. The ConocoPhillips Data Scholars Program includes professional development activities, industry mentoring, among the financial support of a significant scholarship.
Student Organizations
- The Data Analytics Club (DAC), sponsored by ConocoPhillips, helps student members learn more about the data analytics field and provides them with extracurricular learning opportunities. An annual Datathon contest is held each Spring, sponsored by DAC, with winning teams earning OSU scholarships.
