Master's in Business Analytics and Data Science

The MS in Business Analytics and Data Science (MS BAnDS) is a nationally ranked STEM program that offers students practical data analysis experience by applying knowledge acquired in classrooms to solving real-world business problems.

Program Overview

We use state-of-the-art enterprise-level analytics software from multiple vendors. Beyond 23 credit hours of core courses, students have the choice of specializing in various options such as marketing analytics, healthcare analytics, advanced data science, or cybersecurity analytics.

Career Prospects

Our program provides great advantages in the competitive job market where companies like Amazon, Capital One, Apple, FedEx, General Motors, Humana, Chase, J.P. Morgan, Walmart, and WWF recruit our students on a regular basis. The majority of students receive paid internships, and nearly all graduates receive full-time job offers within 3 to 6 months of program completion.

Student Achievements

MS BAnDS students have won several competitions, including the 2024 Data 4 Good Case Competition at Purdue University, securing a $5,000 cash prize. They have also won the Broadband Equity Challenge 2025 and the Disney Data and Analytics Women award for the second straight year.
