Format
Online learning through the College of Engineering, Architecture and Technology (CEAT) provides a flexible alternative to traditional on-campus courses as a convenient way to earn your degree whenever your career or other life commitments prevent you from taking classes on campus in a traditional setting.
- Online students utilize Canvas, OSU's online learning portal to watch lectures, turn in assignments, and communicate with classmates and professors.

Curriculum
The MSETM program exists to provide accessible, career-enhancing educational opportunities to practicing engineers, scientists, and technical managers.
- This program is a 32 credit hour program that permits students to build a strong degree that directly prepares them for the future.
- On average, students take 4-5 credit hours a semester.
- The program can be completed in a minimum of 18 months and a maximum of 7 years.
- Students typically complete the degree in about 3 years.
- Coursework is divided into two categories: Required and Elective.
- The Required courses include an introductory course (1 hour), a decision analysis course (3 hours), and the capstone series (4 hours).
- The remaining 24 credit hours will be chosen from the Electives list and should include a minimum of 3 one-credit-hour courses.
Admissions
Applications are accepted any time and are reviewed as received. Allow approximately one month from the time a complete application is submitted for an admission decision.
- Admitted students may begin taking classes during the next course offering or semester following their admission.
- No GRE or GMAT score is required.
- The standard for admission to the program is for students to possess a bachelor of science degree or higher in engineering, technology, or physical/mathematical sciences with a 3.0 GPA.
- Professional Track online students are also required to be professionally employed in a relevant position.
