Introduction to the Doctoral Program at the Ocean College

The Ocean College of China University of Geosciences (Wuhan) is now accepting applications for its 2026 doctoral program. The program is designed to provide students with advanced research skills and knowledge in the field of ocean science.

Eligibility and Application Requirements

To be eligible for the program, applicants must meet the following requirements:

• Hold a master's degree or be expected to receive a master's degree before the start of the program
• Have a strong academic record and research potential
• Meet the language proficiency requirements (CET4, CET6, TOEFL, or IELTS)

Application Procedure

The application procedure consists of the following steps:

1. Online registration: Applicants must register online through the China University of Geosciences (Wuhan) doctoral student recruitment system.
2. Submission of application materials: Applicants must submit the following materials:

• Application form (printed from the online registration system)
• Two letters of recommendation from professors or experts in the field
• Transcripts of undergraduate and graduate studies
• Diploma and degree certificates
• Language proficiency test results
• Research proposal and personal statement
• Other supporting materials (e.g., publications, awards, patents)

Application Materials

The application materials must be submitted in the following format:

• A4 paper, with a cover page and table of contents
• Bound with a white hardcover
• The application form and letters of recommendation must be original documents, not photocopies

Requirements for "Ben Si Bo" Integrated Cultivation Plan

Applicants for the "Ben Si Bo" integrated cultivation plan must submit the following materials:

• Application form (printed from the online registration system)
• Two letters of recommendation from professors or experts in the field
• Undergraduate transcript
• Language proficiency test results
• Research proposal and personal statement

Notes

• The application materials must be mailed to the Ocean College, China University of Geosciences (Wuhan), using the postal service EMS.
• The application deadline is January 5, 2026, for direct doctoral students and February 28, 2026, for "application-examination" students.
• Applicants must ensure that their application materials are complete and accurate, as incomplete or inaccurate materials may result in the application being rejected.
