University Program Information

The university program in question involves collaboration between the Department of Information Technology and the field of Information and Communication Technology. This collaboration encompasses courses produced by high schools, including Computer Science and Cyber Security, Introduction to Programming, and Advanced Programming.


Program Details

The Department of Information Technology is responsible for the content of these courses. Students from Kerttuli High School, a nationally recognized special high school in ICT, can complete the following university-level courses at the University of Turku free of charge:


  • Tietojenk‰sittelytieteen perusteet I (5 credits)
  • Ohjelmoinnin perusteet (5 credits)
  • Olio-ohjelmoinnin perusteet (5 credits)
    • Additionally, it is possible to complete other courses by agreement.

Program Structure

The program allows for flexibility, with students able to complete a total of 15 credits in the field of Information Science. The courses cover foundational aspects of information science and programming, providing a comprehensive introduction to the field.


Eligibility and Enrollment
