Program Overview
Introduction to T‰htitiedett‰ P‰iv‰koteihin
The Varsinais-Suomen LUMA-keskus is organizing an event focused on developing astronomy education for early childhood education. The event will take place at the University of Turku on September 25, 2025, from 2 pm to 5 pm.
Program for September 25
- 2:00-3:00 pm: General introduction to "Space and Astronomy: What Everyone Should Know"
- 3:00-4:00 pm: Workshop I - Solar System and Scales
- 4:00-5:00 pm: Workshop II - Starry Sky and Space
Program for October 6
The event also includes a visit to Avaruuspuisto V‰is‰l‰ on October 6, 2025, from 2 pm to 4 pm.
- 2:00-3:00 pm: Tour of the area and activities for kindergartens
- 3:00-4:00 pm: Planetarium presentation
About Lounais-Suomen LUMA-keskus
Lounais-Suomen LUMA-keskus is part of the University of Turku's Biodiversity Unit, which also includes the Natural History Museum, Aerobiology Laboratory, Botanical Garden, Kevo Subarctic Research Institute, and Archipelago Research Institute.
