Information Systems Degree Options

The following degree options are available in the Information Systems department:

• BS Business Analytics and Artificial Intelligence: This program prepares students to solve analytics problems embedded in a business context by combining fundamental ideas in economics, finance, information technology, marketing, operations management, and statistics with various analytics concepts using a range of tools and programming languages.
• BS Computer Information Systems & Technology: This program is a unique blend of technical and business curriculum, providing students with practical and theoretical training in information technology.
• BS Cybersecurity and Risk Management: This program focuses on cybersecurity and risk management, providing students with the skills and knowledge needed to pursue careers in this field.
• MS Business Analytics and Artificial Intelligence: This program provides students with the practical and theoretical knowledge needed to pursue careers involving a wide variety of data science, data engineering, and data analytics roles within a number of business domains.
• MS Information Technology & Management: This program prepares students for careers as IT professionals working in a variety of industries and roles, featuring a state-of-the-art curriculum, online or classroom delivery options, and the ability to complete the degree on a full-time or part-time basis.
• PhD Concentration in Information Systems: This program develops strong research skills, especially relevant for students interested in an academic career, with research seminars held regularly and a speaker series to bring researchers from other universities to UT Dallas.

Program Details

Each program has its own set of requirements, admission criteria, and research areas. The MS ITM program, for example, is a 36 semester credit hour STEM designated degree program ranked 17th in the US by US News and World Report. The PhD Concentration in Information Systems develops strong research skills, with a focus on academic careers.
