The Master of Research and the Master of Philosophy are postgraduate programs taken after graduation, replacing the Honours program in the School of Science. A Master's Degree is a prerequisite for enrolling in a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD).

Master of Research
The Master of Research aims to deliver an in-depth research training experience, combining specialist disciplinary knowledge, an advanced understanding of research methodologies, with a year of independent research conducted under expert supervision. This program is suited to students who have no research training or experience.
Master of Philosophy
The Master of Philosophy aims to provide an opportunity for students to develop their potential for research, enhance their skills of problem identification and specification, and their ability to develop and present solutions. This program is suited to students who have had some research training and experience.
