Program Overview


Introduction to the Gabelli Presidential Scholars Program

The Gabelli Presidential Scholars Program is an undergraduate academic, merit program that annually awards full-tuition scholarships and fully-funded, GPSP-sponsored summer programs to 18 incoming freshman students.


Eligibility and Application

Early Decision and Regular Decision applicants who submit their Boston College applications by the November 1 priority scholarship deadline will be considered. There is no separate application for this scholarship, but please note that only candidates for fall admission will be considered.

The program provides full-tuition scholarships and fully-funded summer programs to its scholars.


Notable Achievements of Presidential Scholars and Alumni

  • Adriana Curtis '28 volunteered at the Schwarz School in Zumba, Tanzania, through an Advanced Study Grant from Boston College, teaching English, mathematics, reading, writing, and science to students aged 2-15.
  • Nicole Wong '09 published a book, "Mahjong: House Rules from Across the Asian Diaspora", and wrote an article for Vogue Magazine about her childhood connection to Mahjong.
  • Hayoung Cho received the Finnegan Award.
  • Johany Jeune and Charlie Neill were featured in Boston College's list of Seniors to Remember.
  • Rishi Srinivasan '24 founded a non-profit, STEM for All Academy, to make STEM education more accessible.
  • Michael Dixon '06 established the Dixon Family Provost Faculty Fellowship for Teaching Excellence.
  • Liz Schwab '25 attended the 29th annual UN Conference of Parties.
  • Garrett McCloskey '25 spent his summer covering the 2024 Olympics through an internship with ESPN.
  • Fran Hodgens received Boston College's highest undergraduate commencement honor, the Finnegan.
