Program Overview
University Programs
The university offers several programs in the field of biology, including the B.S./M.S. program and the Ph.D. program.
B.S./M.S. Program
The B.S./M.S. program is designed for undergraduate students who are interested in pursuing a Master's degree in Biology. The program allows students to take graduate-level courses during their senior year and apply those credits towards both their undergraduate and graduate degrees. Students in the B.S./M.S. program will work closely with a faculty advisor to develop a research project and complete a thesis.
- Requirements for admission to the B.S./M.S. program include:
- A minimum GPA of 3.0
- A research proposal
- Letters of recommendation from faculty members
- The program typically takes five years to complete and includes a combination of undergraduate and graduate coursework, as well as original research and a thesis.
Ph.D. Program
The Ph.D. program in Biology is designed to provide students with a comprehensive education in the biological sciences. The program includes coursework, original research, and a dissertation. Students in the Ph.D. program will work closely with a faculty advisor to develop a research project and complete a dissertation.
- Requirements for admission to the Ph.D. program include:
- A minimum GPA of 3.0
- A research proposal
