Program Overview

Introduction to the Summer Bridge Program

The College of Engineering, Architecture and Technology's (CEAT) Summer Bridge Program is a three-week, residential preparatory program for incoming first-year students who have been accepted to Oklahoma State University and who plan to pursue a degree in engineering, architecture, or engineering technology. Summer Bridge is designed to guide students as they transition from high school to the rigors of CEAT coursework through academic review, orientation seminars, and engineering design projects.

Program Details

  • The 2026 Summer Bridge Program will be held July 18 - August 6, 2026.
  • Participants will move into Parker Hall on either Saturday, July 18 or Sunday, July 19, with program activities officially beginning Monday morning.
  • After Summer Bridge, participants will have one week before the fall semester begins.
  • Students are welcome, and encouraged, to stay on campus during this time to participate in Cowboy Welcome!

Living Arrangements

  • Summer Bridge participants must live in the College's Living Learning Program (LLP) in Parker Hall during the program and for the academic year.
  • Participants are not able to move out of Parker Hall at the conclusion of the program.
  • Programming and opportunities are tailored for Summer Bridge participants in Parker Hall for the remainder of the academic year.

Application Process

  • Applications are submitted through the Undergraduate Admissions' Application Portal by completing the LLP application after being accepted to OSU.
  • The LLP Application will open on October 1.
  • The priority deadline to be considered for Summer Bridge is February 1.
  • Applications will be reviewed after this deadline.
  • Students who apply to multiple LLPs will be notified about their LLP Match on March 31.
  • Students who apply to the Parker Hall LLP and Summer Bridge Program can expect to hear back regarding their application status on February 28.
  • Applications submitted after the priority deadline will be reviewed on a rolling basis, as capacity allows, starting on April 1.
