Project Management - Processes, Activities, and Practices

This module is part of the Sensor Systems Engineering program and covers the basics of operational project management. Students will learn techniques and processes based on best practices from the project management community and apply them in practical examples.

Learning Aims of the Course

Students who have successfully completed this module will:


  • Be familiar with the basics of operational project management
  • Be able to independently plan, realize, monitor, and control complex interdisciplinary tasks
  • Be familiar with the various organizational forms of project management, the coordination of work in project teams, and the requirements and tasks of a project manager
  • Be proficient in the basic planning techniques of project management
  • Be able to use different methods for planning, controlling, and monitoring processes based on network planning technology
  • Know the challenges of project management by means of practical examples
