Admissions
Admission to the program is competitive, and applicants must meet certain requirements, including:
- A Baccalaureate degree from a regionally accredited institution
- Minimum total cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale
- Pre-Requisite courses (list available)
- Non-U.S. citizens who do not have a permanent resident visa at the time of application cannot be considered for admission
Admission Preference
Admission preference is given to Oklahoma residents, as well as applicants who demonstrate certain qualities, including:
- Living or raised in a geographically underserved area
- First generation college students
- History of military service
- Academic excellence
- Community service
- Extracurricular activities
- Healthcare experience
- Healthcare shadowing
- Leadership roles
- Students who embody the mission of the institution and would elect to practice health care in a rural or medically underserved area
Admission Offers
Offers of admission to the Physician Assistant Program are contingent upon completion of certain items, including:
- Acknowledgement of Technical Standards
- Background Check
- Drug Screen
- Health Screenings
- Immunizations (the program follows the CDC Guidelines for Healthcare Personnel)
Cost of Attendance
A $150 non-refundable deposit is required to secure a seat in the program.
