Program Overview
The Dunong Project is a collaborative effort between the Department of Education (DepEd) in the Philippines and the University of the Philippines Los Ba˝os (UPLB) to provide educational support to children affected by poverty. This project aims to promote learning and development among these children through various educational activities conducted by UPLB student volunteers.

The program will take place from February 20, 2026 (Friday) to March 2, 2026 (Monday).
Eligibility
- The program is open to students of the University (excluding graduate students).
- There are no specific requirements for the student's department, college, or year.
- Participants must enroll in the "International Agricultural Training I" course (2 credits) offered by the Department of Biological Resources.
- No prior knowledge is required, but participants must agree with the purpose and significance of the Dunong Project and have a strong desire to participate in the activities.
Expenses
The estimated cost of the program, including airfare, accommodation, and local transportation, is approximately ą130,000 to ą150,000. Participants who complete the program will receive a travel support fee of ą130,000 from the university.
Number of Participants
The program is limited to 12 participants.

Program Activities
The program will focus on the "Reading Enhancement and Appreciation Development (READ)" theme, which is one of the three themes set by the Dunong Project. The program will include a week-long multicultural exchange, visits to local universities, and cultural exchange activities with students from the University of the Philippines Los Ba˝os.
Academic Credit
Participants will receive 2 credits for enrolling in the "International Agricultural Training I" course.
Travel Support
A travel support fee of ą130,000 will be provided to participants who complete the program.
