Bachelor CSE Program Updates
The Bachelor CSE program has undergone several changes, effective immediately. These updates aim to enhance the curriculum and provide students with a more comprehensive education in the field of Computer Science and Engineering.
Changes to the Curriculum
- Angewandte Mathematik: The module "Elementare Wahrscheinlichkeitsrechnung und Statistik" (9 LP) replaces the modules "Angewandte Stochastik 1" (4 LP) and "Angewandte Stochastik 2" (4 LP). This change is implemented in the 3rd semester of the study plan.
- Informatik: The module "Einf¸hrung in die Softwareentwicklung" (3 LP) replaces the module "Programmieren" (2 LP). This change includes a more intensive focus on the C programming language, a reduction in C++ content, and the introduction of version control using Git.
- Ingenieur- und Naturwissenschaften: The modules "Technische Mechanik 1 - 3" (each 5 LP) replace the previous modules "Technische Mechanik 1 - 3" (each 6 LP), aligning with the THU modules. Additionally, the module "Physikalische Grundlagen der Elektrotechnik" (4 LP) replaces "Grundlagen der Elektrotechnik 2" (4 LP), with the content remaining unchanged.
- Abschlussarbeiten: The module "Wissenschaftliches Arbeiten in CSE" (3 LP) replaces the modules "Wissenschaftliches Arbeiten in CSE" (2 LP) and the optional module "Erg‰nzung zu Wissenschaftliches Arbeiten in CSE" (1 LP). Furthermore, the module "Bachelorarbeit" (13 LP) combines the Bachelor thesis (12 LP) and the Bachelorkolloquium (1 LP) into a single module.
Program Structure Adjustments
The program structure has been adjusted to accommodate these changes, ensuring a cohesive and comprehensive educational experience for students. The module "Grundlagen der Elektrotechnik 1" (7 LP) has been rescheduled to the 5th semester. These updates reflect the program's commitment to providing a high-quality, relevant education in the field of Computer Science and Engineering.
