Máster de Formación Permanente en Seguridad Pública (Virtual) Curso 2025/2026 ## Overview of the Program The Máster de Formación Permanente en Seguridad Pública (Virtual) is designed to provide advanced training in the field of public security, addressing the needs of professionals in the sector. This title aims to meet the training needs of a sector of professionals such as Security Forces and Corps dependent on public administrations, Penitentiary Institutions, and the Civil Guard. The critical importance of the work performed by these agents requires training in subjects of academic content. ## Competencias The main formative objectives of the title include providing a basic general training that increases the capacities of the graduate for the exercise of the professional activity of the Public Security agent. This training should provide a solid scientific knowledge of an interdisciplinary nature on the different areas and aspects related to security observed from the perspective of the performance of the professional function. The results of learning from the title are detailed in the following competencies: - CE6: Describe, understand, and choose the appropriate methods to obtain precise information about the object of their work. - CE13: Capacity for the use of tools and instruments necessary to carry out investigations. - CE7: Elaborate and select data and information to provide valid evidence elements. - CE9: Acquire conceptual and theoretical knowledge to apply them in service to the citizen. - CE14: Pertinence of the safe use of means in the exchange of information. - CE15: Use of techniques appropriate to the object of each investigation, avoiding the inappropriate use of the same. - CE17: Learning and evaluation in decision-making and conflict resolution in the field of security intervention. - CE5: Ability to integrate fundamental rights and public liberties applicable to public security work. - CE1: Understand and correctly manage the most relevant and pertinent legal, sociological, and psychological tools in the field of Public Security. - CE3: Know, manage, and interpret the main sources of data. - CE8: Acquire the precise tools for the realization of diagnoses and analyses on the state of Public Security in their work area. - CE10: Project an image of the most specific details that arise from the needs in the day-to-day of the profession. - CB10: Students will possess the learning skills that will allow them to continue studying in a largely self-directed or autonomous manner. - CE4: Ability to distinguish the organization, functioning, methods, and general strategies of action of institutions directly related to Public Security. - CE2: Demonstrate knowledge and familiarity with specific forms of crime and other non-criminal offenses. - CE11: Know the legal limits of action of the public security sector official. - CE12: Understand the methodological necessity in the applied technique. - CE16: Conceptualize each branch and competence of practical activity in a broad manner. - CB6: Possess and understand knowledge that provides a basis or opportunity to be original in the development and/or application of ideas, often in a research context. - CB7: Students will know how to apply the knowledge acquired and their problem-solving capacity in new or little-known environments within broader contexts (or multidisciplinary) related to their area of study. - CB8: Students will be able to integrate knowledge and face the complexity of formulating judgments based on information that, being incomplete or limited, includes reflections on the social and ethical responsibilities linked to the application of their knowledge and judgments. - CB9: Students will know how to communicate their conclusionsand the knowledge and ultimate reasons that sustain themto specialized and non-specialized publics in a clear and unambiguous manner. ## Perfil de Ingreso The professional profile for this program includes professionals in the security sector (Security Forces and Corps, Civil Guard, Civil Protection). ## Acceso, Preinscripción, Admisión y Matrícula ### Requisitos de Acceso - Be in possession of an official Spanish university degree or another issued by a higher education institution in the European Higher Education Area. - Those with university degrees from outside the European Higher Education Area may also access without needing to homologate their degrees, provided the Universidad de Salamanca verifies that these degrees demonstrate a level of training equivalent to the corresponding official Spanish university degrees. ### Preinscripción The pre-enrollment period is from May 5, 2025, to January 19, 2026. Students must perform an autopreinscription through a provided link. ### Matrícula The matrícula (enrollment) period is from January 23 to January 31, 2026. Enrollment will be formalized once admission is confirmed, after the pre-enrollment period ends. The link for automated enrollment will be provided. ### Formas de Pago Payment can be made by transfer, credit card, or direct debit. For transfers, the student must indicate their name and surname and the title of the program in the transfer concept. The account details are provided. For direct debit, students can include their bank account details during enrollment for the fee to be charged on the specified dates. ### Plazos de Pago The total enrollment fee can be paid in two installments, deducting the pre-enrollment fee.
