Course Description
The course "Tools and Advanced Features of REDCap for Research Data Collection" is designed for individuals beginning a new research project that requires data collection, particularly for health or personal data with privacy considerations.
Course Overview
Flinders University provides several tools for data collection, one of which is REDCap, designed for clinical research data collection and accessible online to authorized users. The session will be presented by Dr. Kelly Loffler, Senior Research Fellow based in the Flinders Clinical Trials unit (CMPH).
Course Content
The course will cover:
- Introduction to using REDCap for data entry
- Building projects
- Designing data collection tools in REDCap, with hands-on examples
Requirements
To participate in the hands-on part of the training session, participants will need to have a REDCap user account. If a participant does not already have a REDCap account, they will need to submit a request to obtain access to REDCap, allowing up to one week for the request to be actioned.
Course Format
The session will be run online via MS Teams, and a link will be sent to participants via calendar invitation prior to the session.
