The Provincia Creativa program is a collaborative initiative between the University of Salamanca and the Diputaci¾n, aimed at bridging the gap between the rural world and the university, by bringing creativity and knowledge to the municipalities of the province.

The program, which began as a pilot experience in 2014, has demonstrated its capacity to dynamize cultural life in rural towns. It is fueled by university volunteers who design and develop activities tailored to each municipality, including workshops on art, painting, photography, comics, music, heritage, and theater, as well as intergenerational projects, exhibitions, and guided tours. The primary objective is to foster creativity, coexistence, and cultural exchange in the towns of Salamanca, particularly in those that are more remote or have fewer cultural resources.

Over its ten-year trajectory, the Provincia Creativa program has carried out 285 activities in 165 municipalities, with the participation of 737 university volunteers and approximately 7,200 beneficiaries. The program has configured a map of creativity that has grown year by year, thanks to the commitment of students and the collaboration between the two institutions.

The budget for the new edition of the program is 45,000 euros, and its development period will extend until May 31, 2026. This financial support reinforces the project, ensuring its continuation and expansion.
