The Universidad de Salamanca offers a Grado en Estudios Policiales (Degree in Police Studies) at the Centro Universitario de Formación de la Policía Nacional (University Center for Police Training).

Program Overview

The program is designed to provide students with a solid foundation in police studies, preparing them to effectively combat terrorism, disinformation, organized crime, human trafficking, cybercrime, violence against women, child abuse, and hate crimes.

Program Details

• The program has produced two cohorts of graduates, with 370 officers completing the course, including 11 who graduated with honors.
• The Centro Universitario de Formación de la Policía Nacional was inaugurated by His Majesty King Felipe VI on October 24, 2022.
• The program is part of a larger project to modernize the police selection and training system.

Program Significance

The rector of the Universidad de Salamanca, Juan Manuel Corchado, highlighted the quality of the training provided by the program, stating that it prepares students to be part of an "extraordinary promotion" with a "solid, rigorous preparation" and "knowledge and skills acquired in an institution that is a national and international reference."

Program Completion

The director general of the Policía, Francisco Pardo Piqueras, noted that the program provides students with "excellent training that prepares them to fight more effectively" against various crimes and threats.
