Program Overview

Introduction to the University Program

The University of Salamanca has launched a new volunteer program for Education for Employment. The objective is to raise awareness among students about the importance of preparing for their future incorporation into the labor market.

Program Details

The program is a collaboration between the Employment and Entrepreneurship Service (SIPPE-UsalEmprende) and the Vice-Rectorate for Transfer, Innovation, and Entrepreneurship, in conjunction with the Social Affairs Service (SAS). A group of students from various academic centers will be selected to participate in the program, with a maximum of two students per center.

Program Structure

  • The program will consist of an initial 4-hour training session, followed by additional training sessions.
  • Participants will learn to disseminate employment and entrepreneurship activities to promote "education for employment" through various channels, including in-person presentations, social media, and word of mouth.
  • Students will identify and gather information on the needs and demands of their peers regarding employment and entrepreneurship activities.

Eligibility and Participation

  • The program is open to undergraduate students from the 2nd year onwards.
  • Participants will receive 3 ECTS credits upon completion of the program, with each credit equivalent to 25 hours of dedication.
  • The program will run from January to June 2025, with a weekly time commitment of 3-4 hours, and will take place in the students' respective faculties and schools.

Program Goals

  • To raise awareness among students about the importance of preparing for their future incorporation into the labor market.
  • To provide students with the tools and knowledge necessary to promote "education for employment" among their peers.
  • To foster a culture of entrepreneurship and employment within the university community.
